Course Description.

The course “Art and Music” is a cultural journey dedicated to the exploration of Italy’s vast artistic and musical heritage, from its origins to the contemporary era. Through a clear and engaging approach, students will examine the major artistic movements, the great masters of painting and sculpture, the evolution of Italian architecture, and, in parallel, the development of Italian music—from medieval and Renaissance traditions to opera and modern genres.

The course is not merely a historical overview, but an immersive experience in Italian culture. Artistic and musical works are analyzed within their historical and social contexts, with particular attention to cultural influences, changes in aesthetic taste, and Italy’s role in the development of European and global art.
