Are you already able to communicate in Italian, but wish to achieve true mastery of the language? Would you like to feel free to express complex ideas, take part in high-level conversations, read sophisticated texts, and write with style and accuracy? Our Online Italian Course C1 level is designed for learners who wish to bring their linguistic competence to its highest level.
The course is delivered entirely online through a theoretical yet interactive approach designed to foster active student participation and dynamic, engaging learning; it consists of a total of 8 fifty-minute sessions, organized in a progressive and structured manner; the instructional pathway draws upon a range of carefully selected and diversified materials, including texts, images, videos, podcasts, and interviews, supplemented by a reference glossary and targeted exercises aimed at developing both written and oral comprehension and production skills, with the objective of consolidating linguistic and cultural competencies in an organic and systematic way.
Throughout the course, you will engage with authentic and intellectually stimulating materials, including current affairs articles, excerpts from radio and television programmes, editorials, cultural videos, documentaries, podcasts, and interviews. You will address social, cultural, professional, and academic topics, developing critical thinking skills as well as a rich and precise vocabulary.
The course will allow you to refine your command of advanced grammar, focusing on:
Imperfect and pluperfect subjunctive
Second and third conditional structures
Complex indirect speech
Implicit relative clauses
Idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and common sayings
Sophisticated use of logical connectors and linguistic nuance
Through debates, presentations, professional simulations, active listening activities, critical reading tasks, and argumentative writing exercises, you will develop a solid, fluent, and natural communicative competence. You will learn to speak confidently about abstract, technical, and cultural topics, express well-structured opinions, and support your ideas with coherence and conviction.
In addition, guided practice will help you write complex texts such as short essays, formal letters, reports, reviews, and critical commentaries. You will also work on pronunciation, intonation, and linguistic register, learning to adapt your Italian according to different contexts—formal, academic, social, or professional.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Understand long and complex texts effortlessly, even when they are non-linear.
Express yourself with fluency, precision, and effectiveness in any context.
Produce well-structured, argumentative, and stylistically accurate written texts.
Participate in specialised discussions and defend your point of view.
Adapt your language naturally to different registers.
The C1 level represents advanced linguistic competence. It is often required in professional and academic environments, as well as for admission to university programmes or courses taught in Italian. It is the level of true linguistic autonomy: you do not simply learn the language—you experience it. With the guidance of an experienced teacher and a motivated group of learners, each lesson will be an opportunity to grow, engage in meaningful discussion, reflect, and refine your Italian through practical tools, personalised feedback, and consistently up-to-date materials.
Understand long and complex texts, including implicit meanings, irony, cultural nuances, and different registers.
Express ideas fluently, spontaneously, and naturally, without excessive focus on linguistic form.
Use the language flexibly and accurately for social, professional, and academic purposes.
Produce clear, well-developed, and coherent texts even on complex topics.
Use cohesion and discourse organisation mechanisms appropriately.
Attendance in this course provides essential support; however, actual achievement of the language level depends exclusively on the student’s individual commitment to studying and consistently practising Italian, both during and outside class. Therefore, the indicated duration for reaching the language level of this course (8 lessons) should be considered purely indicative.
